Skiing

Mt. Baker Ski Area, 60 miles east of Bellingham on Hwy. 542, (360) 734-6711 or (360) 671-0211 (snow report).
The ski area is open from mid-November through April, the earliest snow in Washington . It has 38 trails and eight chairlifts, and is perfect for snowshoeing, snowboarding, and downhill and cross-country skiing.
